Located in the historic Micklegate area of York and recently opened, Ace York is a budget hostel with a difference. As soon as you see the Georgian splendour of this great house with its impressive proportions, delightful flagstone entrance, and take in the many original features of this magnificent 1752 town house, you will appreciate its tremendous location, elegant simplicity, and impressive value for money.
Choose from spacious and comfortable double rooms; twin dorms with bunk beds; plus four, six, eight, ten or fourteen bed dorms. Each is well and simply appointed for convenience and affordability, yet the whole of the hostel is air-conditioned throughout, for that little touch of luxury!
All the double bedrooms and family rooms in the hostel are en-suite, have lovely views of the city's medieval walls, 18th century fireplaces, flat screen TV's, safes, towels, dressing gowns, toiletries, and a selection of complimentary hot beverages. Twin bunk rooms also have flat screen TV's, safes, towels and beverages. Dorms all have their own bathrooms, individual reading lights and lockers.
For a budget lodging in the great city of York, Ace is amazing, with a magnificent sweeping staircase, oak panelling and a Rococo plaster ceiling which features a likeness of the great bard Shakespeare himself!
The games room, TV room and even a sauna are located in the converted cellar, and feature oak beams. This really is economy accommodation at its most luxurious!
